Description
Margaret “Peggy” Lane had a prolific teaching career in Santa Barbara. Over the years she became known for her expertise on native and edible plants of Santa Barbara, medicinal uses of common local plants, and plant identification. She taught classes on these topics for many years through the SBCC Adult Education Program, the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden, and the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History.
Peggy was interviewed in 1986 by Linda Benet, and the illustrated transcript was published in 2024.
