Description
Robert Muller served as Director of Research at the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden from 2002-12, focusing on California forest trees, chaparral, fire and urban forestry. Bob’s plan when he left for college was not to become a botanist like both of his parents. His father, Neil Muller was a professor of botany at UC Santa Barbara. Nor did he intend to ever work at the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden as did his mother, Katherine Muller, former Director of the Garden.
Bob was interviewed by Oral History Program Volunteer Lydia Deems in 2018.
