Description
Cathy Rose, long-time Santa Barbara Botanic Garden volunteer, has contributed countless hours to the Docent Program at the Garden, and in 2009 was awarded the Blaksley Bliss Lifetime Achievement Award. Cathy has published three books including ‘Twas Brillig, an annotated collection of poems for children; Rock Creek Wildflowers about a famously-flowery East Sierran canyon; and Bristlecone Forest Wildflowers, which describes the shrubs and wildflowers of the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest.
Cathy was interviewed by Oral History Program Volunteer Carol Weingartner in July of 2022, and the illustrated transcript was published in 2023.
